Some time ago, I talked to a friend who was on maternity leave and asked why she was happy that a weekend is approaching. Isn't it the same for a new mom who is on mat leave? I now totally understand. It makes a big difference!! My hubby can take up some of the "work" that I normally have to do and I can have a little vacation.
So, the long weekend just passed. What I've done? Besides visiting R's grandparents and going to shopping malls, I did some quilling. See my post in http://dianajournals.blogspot.com/2011/02/quilling-exercise.html
And I had a couple coming over for dinner and made sausage pasta and cheesecake. :) Let me post some photos later. I wanted to get some sun-dried tomato yesterday for the pasta, but couldn't find it in a jar and the sun-dried tomato doesn't look so good from the olive bar. I'll add this to my shopping list next time. :)
For the cheesecake, I use 2 package of cream cheese this time so that it's "higher". But for some reason, there's crack on the cheesecake that i didn't have last time. I don't know what I've done.
The dinner was super fantastic. Both pasta and cheesecake were sooo good. Love love love that cheesecake. I sometimes mix cheesecake with milk/cream and gelatin to make it rise more. But I like your version more. The think slice of very cheesy cheese cake was just right. Can you post the recipe later? (Along with the strawberry sauce).
ReplyDeleteI can almost invite myself to your place again. :D
I actually like the not so cheesy cheesecake. I tried the recipe you gave me before (with gelatin as the middle layer), i like it, it's just a bit more work. :P
ReplyDeleteAnyway, i put the recipe in another post.
