Done with this book. I highly recommend this book!! My 3 hours are well spent in reading this book. Not only it tells me tips and benefits of reading aloud to babies, it also talks about what kind of books to read aloud and activities that are age appropriate to different stages.
Surprisingly, it promotes parents / grandparents / relatives to make homemade books to kids based on their own experiences (e.g. taking them to the zoo, baking cake) and their favourites. Hm... I can use my craft stuff to make something!! I was so excited last night that I couldn't sleep but to keep thinking what I can make.
But I can imagine what's gonna happen is.... nothing will happen!! When I was still pregnant, I was thinking to make my own flash cards of alphabets, first words, etc, to baby R. Once you see that you can get a deck of colorful flash cards for $1.5, you will lose the interest immediately! I guess the homemade books are different. Anyways.. let me move on the another book.
