Toys and handmade book

We went to a toy warehouse sale yesterday. oh man.. there are so many toys!! A lot of them, especially those for infants, claimed that they help the baby build up different kind of skills. So taking the advice from a book that always make a shopping list before going shopping for toys. This is because all the toys are packaged nicely and they will all say good things about the benefits of the toys. I did make a wish list. What I end up doing is I like the toy and then I tried to map it to my wish list. I guess it works the other way round too. heehee.. This is one of the toys we've got for baby R.

Hubby and I were playing with it when baby R was sleeping. It's actually quite fun. It gives more ideas of how to play rather than just stacking. :P

Anyway, the warehouse sale also has a great collection of books and activity books. Since baby R is still too young for any kind of activity books, we focus on the books. For one of the board books, there are a few pages about "my family". Then I'm thinking... instead of pointing at some baby in the book and show to baby R that "it's me", and a man "daddy" and a woman "mommy". why don't I make a photo album/handmade book that has the real photos of us and our family? After we went home, I made the book within 30 seconds. Well...I always want to make such book, so I got the photos developed many weeks ago. :P
